Default QUESTION regarding cam...

I am looking at the Lunati Voodoo Cams, When you enter their website or even jegs or summit and put in 94 LT1, you get some cams that are 300+$. But when look at the Voodoo Camshaft listings it shows other cams. Then you swing down to SBC, it shows cams that are under 200$ with lifts. I read the descriptions on a few of them and they sound like nice cams.

SB-Chevy 262-400, 1955-95

Since it says until 95 ill assume they fit and the descriptions are good for the application. Also what lifters are they including?

EDIT: I figured out the problem, I was reffering to the stock head/cam guide here on ls1tech for lt1's and was looking at the lifts and durations of the cams that are popular. Then when Looking on the jegs website I was accidently looking at the 'advertised duration' instead of the duration at .050

because of that it was making every cam look huge lol....

-------------------
I am looking for a good street cam that I can get away without getting a stall right and not a huge stall when I do, but will run good with 3.23 and up to 3.42's later on. headers, intake, full exhaust, and some suspension goods are my mods, with more as I go.

this is the cam that I was interested in:

Lunati 60103 - Lunati Voodoo Hydraulic Camshafts

The most awesome ''268'' cam ever produced! Out-powers all others! This high performance street cam likes 2400 RPM stall, 700 cfm carb, dual plane intake and headers. Makes un-equaled power to 62200 RPM with proper valve springs. If you're looking for a very strong cam with great street manners for you ''crate motor'', this is it! EFI motors need custom chips / tuning.

Advertised Duration : 268° /276°
Duration @ .050 IN/EX : 227° /233°
Gross Valve lift IN/EX .489''/.504''
LSA and ICL 110/106
RPM Range: 1800-6200

^110 LSA would be super choppy wouldnt it?

The rpm range is WAY off as the recommended dual plane will want as lot less revs than the LT1 intake.
That is also a flat tappet cam which is a step BACKWARDS.

You can use it in a roller cam block, will work, just is a step backwards.

On the 110LSA the idle would be noticable but not terrible, cam I run is about that and there are guys running tighter. You are just comparing to the as a rule overly wide 112 you see in most stuff.

I'm wondering what are the proper valve springs that allow this cam to pull to 62,200 rpm.
