Sure you checked the one on the drivers side panel of the dash? I am almost sure the ECM should be a 5 amp orange. Next step is to get a diagram and check power to the ECM. A diagram of the OBD port will also help.

You can clean the IAC till the cows come home but if the computer isnt working the IAC will not work. You have to get in computer. Maybe your hand held is toast? Have you tried it on another vehicle?

scanner works good on my dad's 02 silverado. ive returned it before and got another thinking it was bad.

well wouldnt the computer being shitty cause the car to not work at all and stall all the time?

check the intake boot if your still running the factory one make sure it not all rip at the bottom or droawing air in my sisters car was doing that and it wouldent idle and it would stall i could put my boot on her car hers on my and it would work find but i got a new one anywas

i have an SLP lid and LT1 WS6 bellow for the intake. also the car has speed density so any kind of un metered air wouldnt make it die.

i checked all the fuses and they are 10+ volts/amps.

ok, the scanner worked. i had to say my car is a truck (yea i know WTF) the phone tech told me to do it.

well it shows 32 codes in the history that are for A4 transmissions, and about a turbo wastegate (2nd WTF) and things the car doesnt even have.

the last 2 codes were DLC32 and DLC33. EGR and MAP.

it could be the injector circuit. try this. turn the car on and wiggle with wires coming off the junction block by the battery. I had a problem very similar to this and it turns out those wires are fusable links. one could be burnt out

i just got more codes. code 29 for AIR (yea i know and have a good fuse for the pump still in there) and this is wierd because it never popped an SES for it before. and multiple other codes that dont have anything to do with the car.

alright, i pulled the EGR off and shook it, it sounded like a salt shaker because of carbon i guess. the plunger is pretty hard to push to open the valve. it takes 2 hands. and there wasnt really that much carbon inside.

so could it be a bad or really clogged EGR?

it was the EGR. it was sticking open. and it was full of carbon dust deep inside.
