It seems the problem with that motor was the hydrolic roller lifter. I guess had that not gone out there would have been no problems. That really sucks that one faulty lifter screwed it all up. For both you and the seller really...
Had the lifter not $hit the bed would you have torn it down? Or would you still be beating her today?

the lifter was just one problem that was found on the tear down. of course the biggest problem. we were tearing the heads off to send to lloyd and have ported into some le3's. and thats when the trouble started! the reason the heads were coming off and going to llyod, is this engine made **** power! only managed a best of 358hp. and this was tuned on the dyno. the engine started falling on its face at 5400 rpm's and was done making power at 5800 and droping like a hot rock. car only ran a best of 12.60 at 114 mph.
