Big Problem, need help! Alright guys, here's the deal, my car will start and run fine for about 5min. then start to sputter and die. I'm assuming that this happens when the car goes into closed loop, I think. After it dies it will crank like crazy, and I can smell fuel but it doesn't fire. If I reset the computer it will fire right up and run again like before and then die again. I'm thinking it may be an 02 sensor but not sure... Anyone have a clue?
Also I'm trying to scan it when it dies to find out what is going on, but none of the software I have is working. Tried using WINAldl but I don't know what PCM our cars have, and the cable is installed on COM Port 5. So I can't use PCMComm or anything else except for Carbytes, but I can't get that to read either. I think if I could get it to read I would be all set, so anyone know how to change the comm port it's on?
Car is a 94 Z28, with LE1 heads and cam, and full boltons, PCM Forless tune...
Hope I can figure out the computer connection in time for tommorow...
