You're going to find alot more information about Frank Cahill (CPT) on the forums than whoever that other Carolina CPT company is.

Why not go w/ who's proven? Frank does great, proven work.

Shane Cobb at Carolina Performance Transmissions is a great guy and he does good work with good value, (good parts for not a lot of money).
I say that because I know him personally and I have a 4L60E built by him under my Impala SS. It doesn't have a lot of street miles on it yet but so far I like it. He is vastly popular with the Impala SS nation due to the fact that he hangs out with that community and owns Impala SS cars. Thumbs up to CPT.

I already went with cahall performance transmissions.... it was my org plan, i have been eyeing frank for awhile to do my tranny so i went with him... plus i kno a few guys who personally went with him and love him... he is great to dealwith and i should be getting my tranny back in about a week.... he anwsered all my ridiculous questions with time and being relaxed.... Frank = the 4l60e King!

BTW Tony,

I was talking to Frank last night and he was working on your tranny so you should be getting it back soon, I think he said he was going to finish it up today, but I could be wrong... I was laughing too hard at his misfortune and chatting about his engine and didn't fully hear the stuff about your tranny... If he hasn't told you yet, ask him about his motor, now that's what you call an expensive mistake...

ah yeah if you haven't talked to him in a week then he didn't know then, he just tore the motor down over the weekend and called me last night with his findings...

Lets just say last year, or longer he went through a full rebuild looking for a 9 second, custom piston, long rod, LE3+ heads, big cam, Nitrous motor, and upon starting the motor getting ready for a few breakin runs, it broke, and he just got around to pulling it apart on easter weekend since he has been soo busy. It wasn't really funny that it broke and is going to be expensive to redo it all, it was just his reaction that was pretty funny...

nah it was a slight install error where a couple pistons were in the wrong hole... Think big intake valves trying to fit into the smaller exhaust valve reliefs...
