Default Lost wheel lock key, where do I get replacement?

I was looking for my wheel lock key tonight and I cant seem to find it. My back left wheel it squeeling again (it was loose last time it did that, replaced some lugnuts because two were stripped and break was installed improperly >.< Another lugnut is stripped again... I blame the burnouts). But I cant find my damn wheel lock key anywhere.

How can I found out what key I need and where I can buy a new set?

You need the set of locks, or just the key? If you need a new set you can go to your local parts store and get a set of 4 with a key! As far as getting a key to match yours, idk if that can be done!

I need the key for my set. Last time I saw it was around the time I had the squeal fixed. I don't remember giving the key to the guy at the shop, but I don't know how they could of gotten it off if they don't have the key. If they did use it, they must still have it. I haven't seen it since come to think of it.

They must have a key set for wheel locks, Im sure most places do because I do not remember giving it to them.

If you are saying you lost the lock and need it to get your wheel off, then I would imagine you are sol. Probably have to drill it out, in which case you will likely need a new wheel bearing.

F.U.C.K. Do shops have a set of keys though? Because Im almost positive I didnt give them mine, I thought it was my rear axle bearing, didnt even think it was the wheel, so I doubt I even thought about the lock.

Hey man, post up a pic of the style of locking lug you have. I have a pretty good assortment of these things.

do what i done, take a 13/16 deepwell socket, a cheapy junk 12 point, and a big hammer slam it on there stick the impact on it and vroom its off! i done it on all 4 wheels, or you can go to the tire shop n have them take it off with their special tools. my way was cheaper n easier

if you don't have the lock number usually in a supplemental manual then the above is the best solution.

Edit: Im taking my car up to the shop tomorrow. Ill ask them if they can remove them all and replace them with some lugnuts. Hopefully they will do it, they are extremely nice.

97badass is right. Wham on a cheep socket and get it off.

Wheel locks will not prevent anybody from stealing your wheels. You can buy special socket sets like from MATCO that'll easily remove locking lugnuts.

Locking lugnuts are a pain only to the owner. The thieves just laugh at them.

hmm.. yeah that's a good idea.

I do see them as definitely at least deterring casual thieves though. How many thieves have an impact with them out looking for cars, lol

Don't drill them out. That's ridiculous. Like everyone else said get a socket and hammer it on there. Then put the socket in a vice and whack the old lug nut out with a screwdriver and hammer. When I got my Formula it came with 4 different style lug nuts. 3 of which were locking ones. I ended up using a 17,18, and 19mm socket to get them all off. Total cost was about $15 for the three sockets.

way back in highschool with my first car i must have rubbed someone the wrong way because they loosened my lugnuts on both sides on the front of my car, all of them were loose except for the lockers i had on there so im guessing someone had to have loosened them

that is why i will have lockers on my car, as for the OP i lost my key once as well and like what was said earlier the best thing to do is hammer on a cheap socket and get the impact out, works like a charm

I believe there are only like 4 or 5 different keys for your lugs from GM. Try a friend that has a TA or camaro.

I slammed my key onto a friend's locking lugs (they were different pattern) and turned 'em right off. If you use a cheap socket, use a craftsman. You can just take it back if it breaks, scratches or whatever.

Are we talking a bigger socket than the lock or a smaller one? Or doesnt it matter?

IF it is like mine, and it looked a lot like mine in the pic, try a 13/16 12 point
