yeah i mean, if you want to shift manually just swap to a 6 speed, that way you have 2 more gears to use.

it is true computer shifts faster and knows the perfect time to shift and about the bottom end i no someone that has been shifting at 6800 for about 40k miles on a rebuilt stock bottom end however on the other hand i no a ton of ppl that have spun bearings or thrown a rod at 6k or just under it its kinda just the luck of the draw, and a combination of how well it was built, and how well you have maintained it how frequently you changed the oil ect.
