RAM Powergrip...Good idea?

I've been saving up some cash for a little and trying to pick out a clutch. I think i'm gonna go with the RAM Powergrip but i just wanted to get some opinions from anyone that has or has had this clutch. Thanks

How much is that clutch? I think for about 150.00 more you can get a spec 3+ that will hold alot more power than that Ram powergrip. Room to grow.

It's a little over $400 from summit. How much do you think the Powergrip can hold? i'm not putting much more than stock down now but I plan on many upgrades in the future.

In short, my answer is NO.

They could have changed them since I had mine. Mine chattered like crazy on take offs. It was either all or nothing.

If you do get one, make sure it's not Kevlar. I think this is what made mine so annoying. I put a stock Valeo clutch in off of ebay and its perfect.

It does say that "slight chatter may occur on takeoff" but we all know how that is.

I think the Stage 3+ is 650 from Thunderracing.com. You don't need it but, it is suppose to have great street manners with minimum chatter and excellent clamping power. I think 800ft. lbs. I wish I had bought that before I bought the Ram Clutch. It wasn't that great of a clutch to me.

I loved the Powergrip I had. Was pushing 400 rwhp and launching on drag radials at 5000+ and it held no prob. Drove just like stock around town.

Why are you getting a clutch made for heads and cam? That your plan or what? BTW tsp sells the powergrip http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/cate...MID=2&catid=59 free shipping, no taxes since you live in PA. I have a ram clutch and i like it, drives like stock and they hold good power.

Yeah heads and cam are in my plans but just a long way away. I'm lookin for a clutch that can handle what i have and then some. I dont want to buy a stock replacement and have it crap out on me.
