opti crap well heres how the day has been i drove to school and back once and the car was fine i drove to school the second time today and it shuts off at school but starts right back up, so i go home and its fine i go back to school agian and its fine i come home for the last time of the day and it shuts off on me this time longer than the last. ive delt with this before multiple times im pretty sure its the opti spark, i have not had any issues with it for a long time(8 months) lol. i was wondering if you guys think it could have been the terenchal downpour we had last night messing with it or what? the last 4 times ive replaced it is due to coolant leaking on the opti this time i see none at all. plus my opti is seald shut with gasket compund.

If your car is a manuel check the neutral safety switch at the back side of the clutch pedal. It looks like a black box. Autozne part# DR440. I've changed my opti, coil, ICM, and it seems like this is the culprit for me. I had the same problems with it cutting out then it just wouldn't start. Good Luck!!

well tore the car apart and bam the opti did not have coolant in it but oil and a decent amount of it,there was a coolant stain as well so a mixture of both, i cleaned it out put it all back togther, all ive gota do tommorow morning is put the water pump back on and shell be good to go, i did not go out and get a new opti for the fact that it starts right up, if it persist which i feel it souldnt i will change the ICM and the Coil being i have 2 spares of both lol. but has anyone else seen oil in their opti (probly a table spoons worth)
and brandon if yours is going bad let me know we can take care of it over my house and itll take like 4 hours max, im good at it now that ive done it 5 times.
