I have a 97 ws6 and the only thing original ws6 left is the hood, badge, and vin. So what's the differance. If he wont to badge it, its his car just don't try to saying it a real ws6, or sell it saying its a real ws6, the vin don't lie.

The ws6 came out in 96 they all had the badge the 99 30th anniversery car w the blue wheels had the blue badge thats all there is and that's the truth.

the first badge is a knock off

Well gosh guys, I didn’t realize how passionate everybody would be about this.

I like the way the emblem looks on the rear. Aside from higher rate front and variable rate rear springs, I have all the other options somehow covered, exhaust, tires, hood, sway bars, etc. I think my car’s looks would appreciate having the WS6 emblem on the back. I’m certainly not trying to pass it off as an original WS6 optioned car and if I were to sell it, I certainly wouldn’t try to pawn it off as such. I’ll openly tell anybody and everybody that asks that I added the hood and the badge.

We’ve all seen some pretty awful and tacky decals and paint schemes but I think this emblem adds a nice touch to the car. Obviously, it wouldn’t be right on a car with a regular hood. I’m getting the WS6 hood and I’ll be adding the badge. With the hood, it kinda belongs. How many guys might have added this emblem on a car with the ram air hood that didn’t come with the badge? I’ll bet there are a few.

We all have our unique way of fixing up our cars. To each his own. What you and I might think is horrible might be just what the owner of another car wants.

Thanks everybody for your input, it certainly made this thread interesting.

As far as me being dense, naw. Fergy, yea, that or he has some serious reading comprehension problems. I shouldn't have to break down my posts like that for him to understand what I mean.

So to reiterate my second post. Go with the correct style badge, the right pictured one (no pun intended!).

I understood what you meant, which is different from what you now claim you meant. I also understand you to be quite an idiot.

You misunderstood me, and you won't admit it, that's fine I can live with it. At least I admitted to my screw up.

IDK, i would just never badge my car as something it never originally was. Like people putting a v8 in a v6 car, i wouldn't want them putting formula badges on it. without the badges, it makes it look like you did more work.

just my .02

your car will look exactly the same minus the fake badge you have on your car

Correct it wouldn't be right on a car w/ a regular hood because its not a ws6...just because you have a ram air hood doesn't make your car anymore of a ws6 than the regular formula or t/a. And I agree there are probably a few who have the badge that aren't they are also tools.

it's not a ws6 so don't put ws6 badges on it plain and simple....so if you had a camaro and put a zl1 hood on your car you'd badge it as a zl1? i think not...why don't ya just slap on a ferrari badge on your car those look pretty cool.
