th350 install

Well I have a th350 transmission with a 9" tail shaft that I will be installing in my 1996 Camaro.

I have read threads saying a 9" tail shaft and 6" tail shaft will allow me to use my stock driveshaft. Well which one is it?

I know everything else I need to swap tranny (crossmember, TA relocation, ect.)

you'll need the long tailshaft th350, I can't remember how long it was though.

Well that just really made my day man!

I guess while I'm doing surgery on my car I will be posting the picks in this thread also.

What tranny components do you all recommend for rebuild? When I say rebuild I mean new clutchs/friction plates, band(s), ect. I'm also leaning towards a manual valve body since I don't want to go through with hooking up a kickdown cable since this will be my street/strip car and not a daily driver at all. I have always been told TCI products are awesome and so is B&M. I kinda like Hughes parts from what little I have seen them used in my life.

I will be spraying also so I take it I need converter that has furnace brazed fins, and anti-balloning plates so which company do you recommend? TCI, Hughes, B&M, ect.

And also what are your flexplate recommendations?

Everyones going to recomend a yank or vig stall for you. They're Great stalls i just cant afford them. Im running Fully TCI race rebuild kit, and TCI converter, transgo shift kit, and all beast forged parts from a company here in iowa also running the HD dual caged sprags. Im more then happy with my transmission. this was for a 60e tho, close enough lol.
