I am looking at going with the lt1-le1 or maybe le-2 package, would i need to do other mods right away such as tb, inj, etc. or could they wait?
does anyone have either of those setups and are you happy with them?

He has a list of recommended bolt ons to make the numbers he advertises for each setup. If you are talking with him on a custom setup he will usually throw in some recommendations for those as well.

I know this will sound dumb but you will have to forgive me I have always fixed up older cars.(I had a 74 Camaro that was my first car!) so sometimes I dont understand all the new things but here go's. I have been looking at Headers and most of them say no egr/air. and no cats. in order to remove the egr wouldn't i need to tell the computer that it is not there? and does it mean to install these headers u must remove your cats? i ask because i have a Borla exhaust and I want to make sure I can still use it. again sorry if i sound dumb or something.(still a newb, lol!)

You would need a computer tune and you would also need to make or buy block off plates for the back of the intake. If they are Long tubes you will need to remove your cats and buy a y-pipe to keep the Borla and have the lead pipe cut and attached to your new y-pipe. You can buy high flow cats if you need to keep emissions to a limit.

off-road headers or not. I'm in Texas, meaning I had to go with headers
that maintain the O2 sensors and AIR/EGR connections (went with Kooks).
I also went with their high-flow cats (duals) and y-pipe, which connected
right up to the stock pipe.

Are you in an emissions state? That will determine if you can go with the

Back to the topic at hand, the LE2 kit is a great kit. Running it on my car with the LE2.2 cam and it makes over 400 RWHP.
Talk to Lloyd, he is going to be ur best place to go for knowledge on what to run with what.

Click the Cardomain link in my sig, my LE H/C shopping list and results are on page 4
I like the LE2 heads matched with a custom cam that meets your requirements. Same price.
The improved components and extra flow are worth every penny.

I believe everyting he recommends is listed on his site with the kit. The LE2 kit (which i would like to get someday) he recommends LT's, no cats, injectors, and a 58mm tb with a good tune and supporting mods like gears, clutch or stall, etc.

Be sure to let him know what you are doing, and he'll take care of you.
Cam selection should be based on requirements and goals.
The LE2 heads are much better (flow wise and component wise) and work
very well with a 350 with either LE1, LE2 or any custom cam in between.
Stepping up from LE1 to LE2 heads alone is worth a good 15rwhp.
LE3 cam is a little aggressive for a stock bottom end, you're going to want a
forged setup with good bearings to rev high and make use of the peak.

I recommend a ported intake manifold ($200 from Lloyd) as well.
The heads come with the springs, retainers and locks.

Thats what i considered etc. Ive seen alot of the lt1 guys running the 7/16 studs ive always used the 3/8 ones. Good pushrods are a must for any cam swap. Usually a overlooked item. A good timing chain as well. H/C swaps can be expensive if you do everyting rite the first time.
