Default kinda ashamed to ask but..

I ordered new lifters (LS7 style) for my new LE2 heads and want to get new pushrods. I have searched and understand that you are supposed to use a solid lifter to check the wear on the top of your valve stem to calculate the correct length pushrod. I was wondering if you can some how use a hydrolic roller lifter to check (even though it should bleed down,...right?) i really dont feel like ordering a single solid, or solid roller lifter so i can check, and even if i did i would need one that is the exact same overal length as my current roller lifter. Any help from people who have had to order new specific pushrods and had to go threw this would be nice

If you use a checker spring, it wont push enough to bleed down the lifter.

Put all your lifters in and prime the oiling system, then check your roller pattern on the valve stem tip.

I would go this route. It is the way around dealing with a solid lifter. You can order these at summit, and just swap a couple of your springs out with them momentarily.
