Who Would Win Ok i drive a 95 a4 camaro z28 with what is in my signature and the best i could get was a 9.05. I have now put the hot cam kit, 3400 stall, long tube headers, and drag radials. I have not ran it with all of that on it.
There is this kid keeps trying to race me he has a 91 notchback 5 speed with cam headers, cai, h pipe, 4.10's and drag radials. He ran a 9.08 with all of that. Now he has put on a 125 shot.
He is wanting to put $1000 on it and it is pretty iffy, so i am just trying to get some suggestions. He will not run for anything less then a grand and he keeps making me look like a bitch bc i dont want to run him for a grand but if i think i can get him i am going to do it. What do you guys think.

I dont have nitrous anymore either but i ran a 9.05 with with i had minus nitrous and he ran 9.08 with what he had. Now i have installed a hot cam kit,stall, and long tubes. Do you thing that the 125 shot will get me.
i think you should get tuned first, even just a mailorder tune. but i do agree with porksoda on this as well as a lot of other things, your gonna be out $1k if you do it, take the grand you were going to put up for the race and put it into your mods. the only other thing i can think of would be to race him and hope he blows it up, before the race is over and whats an m4

wtf is a 9 in real drag race speak? mid 13's? that 5.0 probably has 12s in it on motor w/ the right cam. then assume he's going to spray a whole lot more than 125. set up right you can do a 175 at least once.
just go to the track, right N/T on the windows and make some passes so you know if you're in the ballpark on this.
Yeah, I think your gonna lose...and that's if he's telling the truth about the N2O shot. One of my friends use to hit his head/cam/carb notch stang with a 250 shot. First run out on slicks it ran a. 11.5 @ 125mph. There was more in that combo but he dropped the shot after than run to a 150 and ran 11.6 @ over 118 later in the day.
Well, if you ask me he is the one bitching up. He is trying to buy the race b/c he doesn't think he has a chance. The next time you talk to him, tell em you don't have that kind of money laying around and if he wants to get smacked down quit trying to buy to race and run for bragging rights. He has run people for less money, the people he knew he could beat. Use some reverse psychology. I think that is how you spell it.
why in the HELL would you race for 1000$ thats absolutely retarded... do you really care THAT much about some ugly *** foxbody **** talker? you could make $1000 go so far into your mods there would be no more question of who would win. I simply cannot believe you would think about blowing that kind of money on a race. jmo. tell him you'll race him for the hell of it, stop being kids and RACE. all this is is talk. tell him if he's willing to put $1G on it then he should be even more willing to do it for nothing.. a 9 in the 1/8th is somewhere in the 14-15 range depending on the car and 60'. basing that on someone telling me 8.5's were good for mid 13s.
