Honestly, it wasnt a PITA here. I installed the Kooks by myself in 2 hours.
I will admit, I didnt have a tranny in place, but it's not difficult if you TAKE
YOUR TIME. The problem I see is that people get in a rush, plus they dont
take the time to "pre-plan" what needs to happen when or have the correct tools.

It runs decent, but I think you miss-read. 11.93 on motor, 11.08 on the 115 shot. The heads are before Lloyd had stages, I guess they would be considered LE2s.

just do the math if you pay someone 700+ dollars for less than 3 hours of professional work with air tools than you just paid $233/ hr. Some big time CEO's don't make that kinda cash. And thats 3 hours if the shop you go to has never done a header swap with air tools it would have taken me 2 hours MAX

i did mine the first time in the garage with hand tools and jack stands. second time long tubes went in attached to the motor on the cradle local shop here f-body motorsports charges $400. Personally, it would be worth about $250 for me not to have to put them on. anything more.... naaaahhh ill just do it myself and think about the money im saving the whole time.

Screw that. I installed my headers and it sucked. It took a long time and I didn't know wtf I was doing. Now, I have a stripped bolt hole in the head and no dipstick and a broken coolant temp sensor. I'm having a shop fix my mistakes for about 160 bucks. I bought new felpro gaskets and locking header bolts and a new dipstick tube. So, I guess I did the major work and now I'm fed up with screwing up my car and I'll pay someone reputabe to do it for me, because then if it does f-up I can go back and have them fix it for free. If you have someone with experience, you should pay them to do it. You'll keep it in mint condition. Most shops have to retain a professional reputation, so they usually won't take shortcuts like you or I would.
