The b-body stuff is usually cheaper, well except the Impala stuff, it is all the same but put the name "impala" on it and prices seem to double.

but back to reality... how much should i be looking at for a price on a bare block?
but it should be a nice "new" transmission. and its kinda cool being the underdog. ive got a little over $100 looking for a block. and then i will get the internals. im wanting all motor. but will probably end up spraying it. so just an add on question... will it hurt anything to set the engine up for spray but never spray it?
i did have in the top 3 fastest cars in town...after i got my trans am though like 4 more lsx's came in. so im building. and plus my car has 12x,xxx on the clock. and is there a justifiable gain of hp with a single plane setup? idk how much it cost to get one converted to work. if its too much i will just go ported lunchbox. (stock manifold)
is it possible to go high 400's on all motor? 

i was hoping you would chime in. but the ones i find are like $500!!! cant you find the bare blocks cheaper?
