Default Gasket Set Questions

I have to pull my motor back apart because my rings didn't seat right, but I want to know whats gaskets I need and which ones to get?

I was thinking of getting either Mr Gasket MLS head gaskets or SCE copper gaskets. I'm running stock LE ported heads that have been shaved down and my block has been decked with 11:1 compression pistons

Also what other gaskets am I going to need? I'm not going to pull the crank out or the cam so just the intake, tb, and head gaskets right?

Thanks in advance guys

Bump for you. I would go with the same head gasket thickness you had originally decided. I wound up using felpro 1074's for my LE3 setup.

I am curious what cause your rings to not seat. Was it synthetic oil?

I set them up to tight and ran into misfire problems so I couldn't seat them properly. Hopefully this time around it will be better but I have to break in a clutch now with the rings.

My engine builder never decided with a thickness just said run stock replacement, but with the higher compression ratio I want to run a little better gasket this time around and have heard that the mr gasket MLS are good

Has the block been decked any? I would call Lloyd and see what he recommends.

Thats what I was thinking, I didn't have him do the work but I bought them from a friend that had them done a few years ago. But yes my block has been decked but I think lloyd used to suggest the MLS gaskets. I'll have to send him an email.

I just hope everything works out better this time around
