I don't have a six speed but I hit 162 running a buddy in his 06 GTO. Was stupid and scary on stock brakes.

I went about 170 when I was racing a ls1 on the highway. My brakes were warped after wards and I dont think I sped for a few days after that. Def. not safe or good But **** that was a rush

I buried the speedometer in my stock 95 a4 z28 just a little less than two years ago. I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty scared. I haven't went over 130 since.

The reason for asking is I was just about to order my PCM Forless tune for the new setup and noticed you could have the Speed Limiter completely removed. I wasnt sure if there would really be an advantage in removing it or not since you cant really pull through 6th that easily?
To answer your question.. I don't remember bro, it's been a while.

I will say that I've had the new setup to 170, and it got there ALOT quicker than the LT1 did..

I'm putting in a T56 here soon, and 3.89's are going in the back..

I've hit top speed in my A4 383 which is about 185 says LPE. When they had their black 6-speed 94 Formula in a shootout they hit 192-193. John said they could have picked up another 5 mph maybe without side mirrors. My C5 will definitely hit over 200 its just a matter of doing it. The TA seems more stable at those speeds.

Depends on gearing my 80 formula had a built 400 and 4.56's fastest I ever went was 125ish.

My 97 has gone 155 with stock gears on a built engine... so... i don't know.

As soon as I get a hold of a GPS or nice Gtech I'll have to find out for sure. I'm running 3.42 gears through an M6. I can see this getting very scary very fast.

I know with my new setup give me a M6 it would be ****** insane..150mph comes up really fast, and that's with the Auto..
My car is set up just about like your A4 and with a GPS unit my wife told me we hit 170 and I thought this is enough and in all honesty I don't think it could have went much faster but mann what a rush it was. Oh, and sex was outstanding that night!!!

It's not an F-body, but I hit 169mph really easy the other night. It was pulling really, really hard...but I ran out of gear if 5th (6,500 rpm) and didn't have the ***** to shift into 6th. I plan on trying it again (with GPS) in a couple of weeks.

Oh don't worry, I'm going to snag a GPS, we will see what she will do.
I hope this motor is as well built as I think it is, cause I'm gonna treat it like I did my stock motor, like a dirty *****.

^^It held up to everything I gave it. It's Balanced, has Forged Rods/Pistons, Clevite Bearings, good strong Oil Pump.

It should be alrite, I would take it easy for a while though since it's been sitting..

I need to get my GF's GPS system in my Car when I get the T56 in it and see what it'll do..

I'm gonna have to take it easy anyway, clutch break-in is going to be something like 450 miles. Should be plenty of easy run time I hope.
