My Life. I found pace setter long tubes for my car for 150 brand new a guy near me and my dad wont let me put them on car because he think they will hurt it!!! this is what i have to deal with. Now i know a little about mechanics, but will headers hurt my car? i told him no.
I've never heard of that. My dad actually liked my car better after the headers. Let me tell you he's not hot rodder either. Anyway, buy those headers and put them on. If not tell him to get in touch with me, I'll upgrade to LT's for $150.

there is absolutely nothing about headers that will hurt your engine. where the hell would he ever get that impression from?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? somebody told him something so far off base there's no doubt they heard from somebody who heard from somebody who heard from somebody, etc... we've all played that game and know what happens by the end. maybe he's thinking about the fact that manifold bolts are known for sticking and breaking off or stripping the threads in the head. It's not that I necessarily agree with him as far as reasoning, but he is the boss.
While under the old man's roof, do as the old man says.

I bet hes just saying that because he doesn't want you to have more power. My dad was the same way, hed swear anything I ever wanted to do to my cars that would increase performance would hurt it and blah blah....and of course when I got my trans am, he hated that just because it already had alot of power...and of course, cars like that "break down alot" so it was a bad idea to get it. But, i did anyways. lol...he just didnt want me to kill myself.
