i have a 2000 T/A WS6 with the LS1 motor (obviously). do I have an EGR? and does it need to be deleted?

what guage steel do you recommend for making block off plates for air and egr?

Your cae will have it unless its been previously deleted. No you do not need to delete it, unless you want to.

It would be way easier to just buy block off plates and plugs than to buy metal and make them. There are tons of delete kits on ebay from $14-$25

Camarostrips96 who is installing your headers. i dont mean to be a dick but i just read 4 pages on deleting egr. Header install is not going to be easy for you.

I had my EGR/air **** deleted when I had my header gaskets redone...they said it actually made it easier for them to put it all back together...plus I dropped off about 10 lbs on uneeded weight off my car...

many places make LT1 block off plates, any decent shop should be able to fab some up for you too...

checkout TPIS's website, they sell a very clean looking set of block off plates, and like mentioned above, they aren't expensive.
