Piston to valve clearance
Piston to valve clearance i have a 94 lt1 that is on its last legs and will need to be rebuilt soon. but it has been run hot multiple times before i owned it and once when i owned it. the heads were milled down .080" and i was wondering if i will have any piston to valve clearence issues if i go with a bigger cam such as a cc503.
Well I would worry that the heads are soft and will never really stay sealed.
I would also budget head gaskets into the cam swap and check PTV clearance, extra gaskets are cheaper than the consequences should it be a problem.

IM not too sure on the cam thats in the car now. the mechanic i hired to work on it for me has built a lot of lt1s, mainly caprice motors, and said he didnt think it had a stock cam by the way the rockers were adjusting. 
the car has always been a very strong running car for what is done to it. im not to sure on how far they cut into the valve seat though. i do know they had to pull the valves out to do it.
