Would I win? So as I driving home today I see a friend and he has his 95 Z out so I pull over and talk to him.There is a 16 year old kid in this GTP and He wants to know if I wanna race.Its stock and I have a stat CAI and TB bypass.So we go and race I walk all over the kid and so he says Ill go get my dads 98 Z28 with and LS1. The car is stock and a M6.So Im going to race him and today I just got my 3.73s in so who would win?
You would lose, all LTxx's are slow and inferior to all LSxx's

stock against stock the ls1 will take you, TB bypass isn't doing more than 1rwhp if that and the stat about the same. Your CAI is giving you about 8rwhp and the design of the stock LS1 AI will equal about the same. They have better flowing heads, you might get him from a dig with the LT torque but if you both drive about equal then he'll walk you by a car maybe a tad more.

If you can hook I think you will beat him. It's hard to lauch a 6 speed on the street. The worst it could be is maybe 2 lengths if he beats you. That is if the car is actually stock and doesn't have full exhaust.
depends on if he can launch. I recently raced a 6.0 gto m6 and he has some bolt-ons and on street tires. And i am mostly stock with a built tranny, 3.73s and flowmaster cat-back but i had et street radials on and beat him once and only lost by half a car. These were from a dig. So its possible.

Tell the kid in the GTP to pulley the damn thing. Pulley, headers, 1.9s and he'd walk you hard.
And you probably stand no chance against an LS1 when basically stock for stock. Especially if he is an manual to your auto.

I've had a few LT1 cars and my first two were autos(one being a 2.73 car) and I HAVE beat a couple of Stock LS1's, and lost by 1.5 cars next to a cammed auto SS LS1's....
All I had done was a Homemade CAI, shiftkit, 2800 convertor, and flowmaster... All on street tires!

def race from a dig, u have no chance from a roll.... u have a chance from a dig because of our torque and i garentee that kid cant launch a m6 and i bet hes a sucky driver...
