TT Supra
TT Supra I raced an old classmate tonight in his twin turbo Supra. He didn't tell me was was done to it but from the lane next to him all I could tell was it had an exhaust and a BOV. Prob had an intake and what not. He had a passenger and I had three. (by the way the drivers seat was on the right side of the car)
We raced five times. Twice was from a dig and three were from a roll. We were neck to neck every single time until we hit around 100 and I pulled half a car on him every time. He only won once due to me missing third. I asked him to race on the highway but he was saying something about his car only going to 120? I had no idea what he was talking about.
Does anyone know much about these TT Supra's with the driver on the right side of the car? How much hp they are pushing and what not.
By the way my car is 3800 lbs with me in it. And I had 3 other people in the car so i was pushing 4250 lbs when I raced him.

I almost imported a Supra before I got my 93. I was researching all RWD cars, Solaras (Supra basicaly), SC300 (solara as a lexus), Nissans etc. There was an import site that had them imported very cheaply. Anyways, the nice thing about the imported ones, is they're more powerful than the american counterpart. His car was probably stock.
'89 supra? my buddy had an old 89 (n/a model) and I nearly beat him in my intake/exhaust '90 miata 
the 3 foot wing on the back of my car was like a 100 shot i think. direct port you know. so i almost got him. haha, he nosed out though. it was slow, i think it was full bolt on.

Alright I got some new info. The car is one of the last years made I was told its either a 95 or a 96. Still not sure on performance or exact model yet.
Yea I didn't quite hear what he was talking about.. but I found out he was talking about state route 120. As in he wanted to take our racing there.
He is a friend of a friend and quite a few people know him around here so I'll get some more info about the car. And next time I'll try to tape it.

You guys are retarded. Even supras come from the factory with low power. Yes, they mod VERY well, but they are still "slow" from the factory. H/C LT1 will easily beat a basically stock one.

Damn right! I rode in a bone stock '94 supra making ~8psi and it was a slouch!!! Sure, after you increase the boost and get some race fuel and a tune, it tends to be quick on the street.

Didn't you know that Supras with just a resonator go 10's! The hype around mark IV supras is justified by the incredible performance of more than a few of them. I'll give them the respect that they deserve, more than a 300ZX but no more then a vette. I saw them when they came and when they went.
When they we're stock or close to stock, Supras running a few years ago were running 13 and 14 second times for the TTs. All they would talk about was the mph when the ET was poor, one of the reasons we discounted them in the 90's. NA times in the 14's and 15's were common. So a lightly modded LT1 car beating a Supra? I'm sure its happened a thousand times at drag strips around the country. You don't see anything close to stock running today and everyone thinks that Mark IV Supras came from the factory running 10's or a $500 mod will get you into the 9's. It's bunk. I'm at the strip every weekend and there are several very fast Supras in the valley, just not as fast as the fastest American cars.
