Keep it easy.

Cold Air Intake
Headers
Cat-Back
Tune

Gears if your daring, you'll pick up acceleration but lose out on your top speed (not much though, my buddy can til tip the needle with 4.10's, thus why 6 gears are amazing). I'd personally hold off on 1.6 rockers til you are ready to do a cam as well.

is it worth dropping the engine to go cam and top end, or is it better/easier to just leave it in and do it.

the stall and gears are going in soon, just planning the next step.

i install cams in car myself, i even leave the a/c hooked up, you just need to tilt the condencer and remove the radiator and the cam will slide right out. just remeber when you pick your stall that its going to be big enough for the cam you choose, same with the gears.
