your not the only one. some of us take care of our cars as well. I love my car, but i understand that its not the fastest thing on the streets. to me theres nothing like cruising late on a cool night with the T's off and the heater on your feet LOL!

I'm the opposite. I love working on it. If the car was at my house and I had the tools I'd probably be tearing it down every few days to do something different. I've never had it running so I can't compare the difference between My Formula and my 93.

The 93 will feel faster once it's done because of how light it is and the turbo. My Formula when it's finished though will make the 93 feel like my V6 car.

I will drive and be a proud owner no matter what.
I feel the same way and that's why I own three Fbodies. A lot of people think I'm crazy, but then again those are the peopl like the OP's friend that thinks Hondas are the greatest things ever .

I miss mine and loved it. Wish I could have kept it so I could turn it into a drag car one day.

Hope to have another one that I can do that with one day.

I had nothing but mustangs for most of my life. I was looking for a mid 90's mustang and ended up with my 94 Z28. I thought the camaro was kinda cool until I raced a slightly modded 5.0. After I won I was like long live the Lt-1.

I have a 99 LS1 T/a, a 95 LT1 T/A, and a 94 LT1 Formula. I have a lot more done to the LS1 so naturally my LT's won't touch it but that doesn't make me love my LT cars any less. Not to mention my formula is fixing to go under the knife and get a 25.5 chassis, 396 LT4, and twin 76 mm turbo's among other things so my LS1 better start watching it's back

This weekend I loved my LT1. When it's winter or very cold in general I am not a big fan but when the weather is nice and the top goes down...I love it all over again. I had a small issue with a device I installed this weekend but I resolved it within 15 min so again, this weekend I love it.

You can't beat the sound of an LT1. There is just something about it that a LS1 will never have. That is what is nice about the 2 of them. They have thier own characteristics which makes them both a blast to drive.

Just like BOLO, I've owned mine just about since day one = over 12 years (was a couple months old when I got it actually); It was simply the best bang-for-the-buck back then. GT's of the day could not even compare... The car still runs and looks great after 100K miles.

ive owned a few LT1s and then finally upgraded to an LS1.

i liked the LS1 more, overall everything was better and it was WAYYY faster stock for stock. it was a WS6 so of course it was the sexiest thing on 4 wheels.

but there was so many things i had planned for my LT1 before i sold it. i wanted to tackle a LT header install, i wanted to hear a GM847. LT1s just has a little something special...maybe its that theyre so damn cheap thanks to the LS1s popularity. im trying to get some debts paid off and move into my own place and after that im going to look for another fbody. im really going to consider an LT1

oh and i wanted to comment about the LT1s massive low end torque. not trying to start anything, but LT1s make about 325 ft lbs flywheel at 2500 rpm, but when my LS1 was on the dyno and rounding 2500 rpm the flywheel torque could be calculated at 352 ft lbs. it finally peaked out around 5000 rpms putting 394 ft lbs flywheel.

that was only with a lid and catback. LS1 is a torque monster
