Default "Fast Chip" tune vs.??

PCMforless or MadZ, i see there 350.00 vs. 150-175.00, has anyone gotten one from these guys, are they worth it, or is it basically the same type mail order tune for 200.00 more?

I've heard alot of good about Ed Wright "Fast Chip", that guy does a great job. Bryan at PCMforless is also a great tuner and you can't go wrong with him either. If your concerned about the money I'd go with PCMforless. I personally had a bad experience with MadZ28 so I cant say anything good about him.

Ed Wright by far has been doing this longer than anyone else. he has done tunes on a few of my motors and has been very good to deal with.

Ed is (in my opinion) the best LTx tuner in the country.
Not to say Madz28 or PCMforless don't do good work, but I've found Ed to be worth every penny.
He's done 3 Fbodies for me over the last 8 years. (2 of which had custom head/cam packages)

DO NOT trust your tune to some generic tune you find on Ebay or from an unknown tuner.
You get what you pay for.

Ok, from what i've heard about the Hypertech, I was floored when i heard this from Ed himself !! I just got off the Phone with him, Now you won't believe me when i tell you guys this, but it came right from Ed, He told me "straight up", on a stick car LT1 with bolt-ons, he can NOT beat the Hypertech tune, he says there damn near dead-on, the auto cars he can get a tenth or so but thats it, he really "LIKES" & speaks highly of the hypertech, he said i would be wasting my $$$ on a tune, even his, i told him how my plugs where burning, he said its spot-on, right where it should & wasn't surprised, i also talked with him about what the car was running, he said his LT1 6sp with bolt-ons runs right at 98-99 @ 14.1 with street tires @ the same alt. (1500 ft.), were not that far from each other, he said your running right where you should be, now WHY in the world would Ed want to lie to me & not want my business right? I'll take his word on this & forget about a tune for now, if he likes & speaks highly of the hypertech, i'll keep it.

^^very surprising in deed. but i'm sure hypertech was never designed for head and cam upgrades anyway. nice to know Ed runs his business honestly and with integrity.

thats crazy you hear bout several other peeps and tuners say hypertech is junkk so that means if you want a tune just buy the hypertech and it will tune ur head/cam/gears/n20 all of that instead of getting a real tune

See, this is what WE discussed, READ before you reply or make comments, NO were did i meantion gears/head/cam upgrades did i , if you want to tell Ed he's wrong, please give him a call

He also DID NOT bash anyone elses tune period, he just stated from his experience dynoing these Hypertechs over & over with its A/F & timing set-up compaired to his tuneing, he is highly impressed with them, & after he told me were my car should be at ET & MPH wise, i'm happy with the hypertech too for a bolt-on ONLY LT1, now if you start changing head/cam, then yes its a whole different story. But he did recammend a comp cam that he likes that still works very well with the hypertech tune, not that he can't get more out of it.
