Default miss-fire and stall out, at specific RPM range

ok guys, i just got this car. It will not drive past 3k RPMS.
it will idle, you can rev it past 3k with no problems.

as soon as its moving ( load ) the minute you hit 3000 RPMs the car gets fuel cut and if you put the clutch in it dies! we changed the MAF, and now it just misfires bad, but wont stall out.

will a crack in the intake tube right in front of the Throttle body cause this?
or is this going to be opti-related?

tried searching in vain, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where is the crack located? All unmetered air that gets into the engine will throw off the Air to fuel ratio and make the car run like a POS
