an idea from last night...
an idea from last night... with all this talk about an LT1 composite intake manifold, i got to thinking a little last night. here is what i thought of.
1. sheetmetal lifter valley cover. i would cut a piece of sheetmetal the same size as the bottom of or stock manifolds to cover the valley, and use RTV to seal the ends.
2. as the LS1/6 etc intakes have individually spaced ports, that would pose a problem to the old SBC style 1 2 1. but i had though of moving the middle ones 1 step closer together. as pictured below. also using the LS intake gaskets. i used the LS6 intake since it looks cleaner lol
- dont mind the 10 min of photoshop lol
the only thing i could think of that would be a little wiery of extendint thoes 4 runners would be the A/FR for cylinders 3,5,4, and 6.
again, i wasnt very serious about this, it was just a little creativity.

thats why im waiting on the intake gurus to chime in. i can see a little flaw would be the air having to make 2 90* turns going from runner to the combustion chamber. but i dont know how much of an impact that would be.
