LT1 does not take a special rotating assembly, your plan of AFRs is a poor one, and a "nitrous cam" is just lost NA performance unless you are looking to spray 250hp or more.

AFRs old stuff is not very good, the Eliminators are untested, in any case you need to have them ported if you decide to follow through with this bad choice. Trickflows are the only aftermarket casting worth looking at IMO but still I think ported stock heads are the better choice for most applications.

How much are you planning to spray it and how fast do you want to go?

The 7.5" wont take much abuse behind a T56 so you are looking at a mandatory axle upgrade as well.

I'm wondering what is different between the 350 sbc and the lt1, whats unique about them- heads, block, water pump so on and so forth. I'm new to this lt1 and I'm very interested. thank you

Bottom end rotating assembly is basically just like any generic small block, just remember to get a one-piece rear main seal ont the crank shaft (obviously). but you are correct no specific LT1 parts are neccessary for your bottom end build.

Basic specs for the crank: 3.480 stroke, 5.7 Length Rods, 4.00 Bore Pistons.

The LT1 heads are better than all the OEM heads that came before them and even better than many aftermarket gen 1 heads from years ago too. The block is setup for reverse flow cooling coolant enters the block and goes straight up into the heads, keeps the chambers cool allowing more compression. Waterpump moves a lot of water and does so evenly between the sides of the block and with a minimal level of cavitation and is driven by the timing set not a belt.

Basic architecture is the same as a SBC from the 50s and mant parts are shared with previous smallblocks. It was just an interem design thrown together to make the gen 1 smallblock a little better while the LSx was under design.

A good set of ported "202 fuelie" heads from the musclecar era might flow as well as a bone stock set of LT1 heads but the LT1 heads do so with smaller valves and a better chamber and cooling allowing more compression, the engine management on the LT1 is also pretty good which allows us to run a lot of compression too and tame a fair amount of cam, the management is a big piece of what makes the LT1 so much fun and potent, really hate to see guys carb them, it is a big step backwards.
