yes you can remove that solenoid thing. i forgot where it leads to. just plug the hole if it does go into the intake manifold so you dont get a vacuum leak.

i didnt get a SES light when removed mine. so dont worry about it

Well, sadly, since we're moving, we put a bunch of stuff in storage, and that bag holding all my removed stuff, is in storage. My AIR pump had a plugin much like the AC Compressor, no wires leading to something else. So clearly they updated the system a bit. I would simply leave the solenoid plugged in, and unplug the air pump from where ever the wires from it lead to.

Same with the EGR. Cap off the EGR's vacuum port, all the ports on the EGR solenoid, and the place it leads to on the intake.

Ok well I got that done now I got locking header bolts. And where would I put the bracket for my alternator since the old header bolts held my bracket in place?

heh Well, I'd say a relocation bracket is in order. But You could always use a non-locking on the front bolt location, and get a longer bolt to re-use the stock setup.

On the EGR, I completely removed the tube running from the exhaust manifold. Obviously I'll need a cap/plate for that. My question, is can I just leave the EGR part closest to the driverside bolted on and unplug any electrical stuff? Or will I need to make a block off plate for that?

Could I just bust the valve to peices to get the plate where the bolts go through, and then just weld it shut? Will some sort of cap fit in these holes?

If you're wanting to weld the spot on the headers, you COULD do that, but you better be a good welder so you don't burn through either the headers or the plate. Also so you make a 100% sealed weld.

My 93 had old style plumbing, so I just cut the pipe at the screw in plug, and welded the **** out of the hole, then screwed it back into my manifolds I left the EGR valve, and part of the plumbing that goes into the passenger on the back of the intake, next to the EGR.

In all honesty, I'd just get the plates if I was you. They're like $15-25, not a big deal.
