The main reason for the PCV system is to draw out the corrosive gasses that accumulate at the top of the engine. Breathers are just a short term solution to preventing the dipstick from popping out. If not set up correctly you will also see oil everywhere because of the pressure build-up and pushing oil out through the gaskets.

For High Compression And Cams You Will Have Oil Shooting Out Of The Oil Dip Stick And Going Into The Manifold, I Run Both Breather And Pvc System. I Was Getting A Lot Of Oil Out Of The Dip Stick Tube. Problem Solved Streetshark

dam this was awhile back. I got a set of tall valve cover with breathers on both side's so surely thats enough ventialation. As of wright now it's still running the pcv system cause ineed to find longer valve cover bolt's for my them to fit
