report having to remove the steering shaft/knuckle. For me, I slid it in from
underneath, after I removed the motor mount through-bolt and lifted the
engine a bit.
2) If you CAN... try some PB blaster and pull that header into 2 pieces... much easier.
3) my AS&M and several other headers install fairly easily from the top if you pull the valve covers off. Though I hear Hookers are an easier fit from below, but the top may be an option if you can get everything apart. (See point 1 and 2 above
)BTW, how are your motor mounts? I swapped in polyurathane mounts when I did my headers so I may have had more room to work with. If you ABSOULTELY can not get them in with the stock motor mounts, you may want to get a poly mount to lift the engine a touch. If you think they'll fit fine after you actually get them in, just try loosening the driver's engine mount and jacking it up an inch. THIS IS ALL LAST RESORT OF COURSE... YOU SHOULD BEABLE TO GET IT IN WITH PATIENCE.
