Worried about SS3600 driveability?
BTW, My car is an auto w/ stock converter, and I have 3.42's installed and at 81 mph on the interstate my rpm's are at 2600 rpm. I don't have any problem with that, but I'm kinda anxious as to how much rpm's I'm gonna gain when I go with 3.73's in my Strange Rearend! 2800 rpm is about what I'd think, but 3000 is the most I'd want at 80 mph.
However, does anyone think that a Yank ss3600 stall is too much for a stock LT1 with bolt-ons? Any help appreciated.
And I don't want to hijack your thread so Just LMK if you feel I am. I can start my own if you get offended. And thanks for starting the thread it helped me and alot of others by the looks of it.

Can't wait. I wanna see how fast it goes with bolt-on's, before I put in the stroker at the end of this summer. Plan on putting the stroker in the car around September or sometime close to there.
What is your peak tq at? I ask because I hear that you want to have a stall as close as possible to your peak tq. Mine's at about 3900 - 4200 rpms, but I wouldn't want to go higher than 3600 stall.
Does your confidence in daily streetability include driving in the rain?

If I remember correctly you want the stall to be somewhere between 500-900 rpm below your torque peak.
I drive in the rain, its no worse with the 3600 stall than with the stock stall at all. The car is extremely controllable unless you dont want it to be. If you put it to the floor doing 20mph in the rain then you will run into something but if you drive normal it will act exactly the same.

My best ET before the SS3600 in May of 2007 @ ATCO was a 13.9 @99 w/2.0 60ft.
91,000 mile w/ fresh plugs and wires, ONLY mod being a K&N CAI.
I weighed it on ATCO's scale that day 3610 Lbs.( me 190)
Went back on April 14th, removed the floor mats, spare, and jack.
Put 26x10.5-16 ET streets (not the radials) with 225/55-16 nexens on the front. It weighed 3480 that day. ( first time ran it on 17x9 bullit replicas with 275/40-17 BFG G-force all around). Still stock except the converter and CAI.
Car went a string of 13.3's with a best 13.32@100.4 w/1.82 60ft.
I'm doing 4.10's, 160 stat., and a tune and going back in a few weeks.
Hoping for 12's......... The SS3600 works GREAT for me in my stock LT-1. I would not get anything less.
Buy this converter, you won't regret it. Hope this helps.
