I'm thinkin about gettin some new gears put into my T/A. If anybody has any suggestions/info on what ratio would be best, I would appreciate it. FYI, it is my daily driver at the moment, hoping to get another car but probably won't. So, horrible gas mileage would be a turnoff to a certain gear. I was thinking 3.73:1 or 4.10:1.

 

i went with the 373. and its only a small differance over the 3.42s that come with the car. My friend has the 4.10s and the car pulls alot nicer. Im going to be switching. As far as gas millage goes. Im only getting 180 miles to a tank of gas. So i could not tell you what to expect with the 373s.

 

I have 4.10's sitting in the garage waiting to be installed in my car. 6-spd currently with 3.42's

 

4.10s if its an M6, 3.73s if its an auto

If your a 1/4 track guy you may want to reconsider swaping out your 3.73s for 4.10s.

With most LT1s the power band is better suited for 3.73's in the 1320. With 3.73s you can make it with 4th gear on the 1/4 mile but with 4.10s you will likly have to grab 5th before you finish.

Most the LS1 folks I know opt for the lower of the two but the LT1 does better with the 3.73s with most applications.

Either way, gears are a great mod!!
