Default motor mounts

Probably a dumb question but whats the difference between an engine mount and motor mount? I called into a local parts store and they said what they thought was the motor mounts for my car was $150 each whereas the energy mounts that I thought were to mine, were about $30 a piece. Just curious on what the difference is.

Nevermind, called another parts shop where the guy knew what he was talking about. The difference between the whole motor mount and the slider replacement pieces.

The type of device the mount holds.

Technically, a motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. An
engine converts chemical (or heat) energy into mechanical energy.

A motor = "electrical motor". Engine = "internal combustion engine".

A joking aside, as you've discovered, the inserts are the raw mount material,
in which the clamshell is re-used. The complete mount includes both the
insert and the clamshell as a unit. Ironically, they are both referred to
interchangeably as "motor mount" or "engine mount".
