HP difference is probably going to be negligible. All catbacks are relatively the same, and in the long run ten or so horsepower isn't going to affect you all that much.

I had a borla on my old LT1, it sounded great. But the GMMG is just awesome.

 

There is a kid around here with the Borla running the open plate. I don't know anything else about the exhaust but it sounds like a truck.

Bad, it sounds like a commercial truck. Like I said though, I don't know anything else about the exhaust. It's a Formula and appears to be a WS6 so that may effect the sound slightly with the different engine package. It is definitely loud when he starts it but has a fairly quiet idle and low revs.

 

have heard many borla's and GMMG's on both LT1's and LS1's.My overall favorite is the GMMG...but i also do like Borla's. Top 2 exhausts imo

Had GMMG on my last car and have it on this car. Sounds absolutely fanfuckingtastic.

A buddy of mine had Pacesetter LT, matching ory and ran the medium plate borla on his 93 Z. Sounds SO MUCH cleaner and straight up meaner then any gmmg iv ever heard. My car has been side by side compared to just a gmmg catback (no LT or ory) and 7 of 8 votes went to my 2.5 blown out chambered sweethunder. I think Its just riduclouls to spend 800 plus on a catback that can be easily duplicated. Save the dough and get some more goodies. Ill upload an exhaust clip if you'd like.

 

Why does everyone freak out over the price of the GMMG? A Borla exhaust is just as much, if not more, isn't it? If GMMG manufactures their own chambered exhaust, which is what I've been told, I'm not sure how it would be so easy to duplicate.

The only exhaust I heard that I considered over the GMMG was the SLP 2OTL, but they're pretty much impossible to find new, and I never fell in love with the appearance.

 

Well Ill Tell yous guys what, Ill make an audio/video clip of 3 different chambered catback's plus Borlas, mine, Gmmg, and maybe Stainless works. Well cast votes on the 4 and rank them. Ill get idles, drive by's, and flyby's. Then you tell us what sounds like $1000 bucks

 

Stainless works makes it for them...and stainless works also has a great chambered exhaust system

 

So true, the SLP 2OTL sounds banana's and is hard to find. I don't mind the tips either.

SLP does not make the 2OTL anymore.

And the claim that Stainless Works makes GMMG's exhaust is false.

umm...you care to prove it? I'm 99.9% certain they make the exhaust for them, but i could be mistaken

 

I can send you an email exchange I had with GMMG in which they state those claims are absolutely false.

Considering that there is only a 1/10 of 1 percent chance you're mistaken, perhaps you have something more substantive to support your allegations.
