3. a 1.75 60ft

first pass of the year right out of the gate i ran a 12.77 @ 105mph ran 6 runs and my best was 12.73 @106mph

the weather was ok but had a lot of moisture in the air... i still got prostars to throw on and a aluminum driveshaft

maybe a 12.5 by the end of the year? who knows this is insane!

A big congrats to you. I knew you were skeptical of the potential of a full weight, bolt on LT1, but now I see you have surpassed your goal and now it gets fun. If you're like me, you'll be looking for every 1/2 hp you can get..LOL Good luck and, again, congrats on the new best.

race weight is a lil over 3400lbs id idnt get to weigh the car during thsoe passes fri night but i did weigh it today and it weighed in at 3410lbs but i had more fuel in it then i did fri... (those weights r with me in it) all i have done is stripped the trunk (but kept rear speaker), removed the rear seats, !cruise, !swaybar. the car still has egr, air, and a/c (which will all be coming out this winter ).... oh yea and i have the sportsback

went to the track today for points and ran a best of 12.79 @ 105mph weather was a lil worse... but the car is consistant as hell... which being a bracket guy is awesome! i need to get rubber for those prostars and i need to get my ls1 driveshaft in... then i can start dialing her in

I read thread again and checked the numbers...sorry I made a mistake 3300 and 12.99 is 298 rwhp

I must have entered 3500, but hey 298 rwhp AT track is STILL AMAZING IMO! Many make great power at a dyno, you achieved in the cruelest environment.

DAMN!

You will hate this you are HIGHER than than 315 I misreported! I would NOT change the gears that setup is tweaked to a point of simply being optimal!

Can't think of what to say except GREAT job, a true inspiration for all to try to match. You have set a Very high standard.

What does he have done and what time has he gotten?

You have achieved hp close to a stock LS1. that is impressive!

once you throw the DS on and the 'stars, you'll have a nice .10-.15 off of your ET now.

Good job on the consistancy. Just think what another couple hundred pounds out of it will do.

Tony,

It looks like you have gotten it down, I told you thta 12's would be easy with those mods. It looks like you car is just about where mine was when it weighed that much... I remember weighing in at 3490 with a 3/4 tank of gas, and got a best time of 12.6 something in good weather... I tried searching here but I don't think I posted on here much back then but here are the links to my progress, and you can see in the past 1.5 years I have gone from where you are to where I am now with not much more then weight reduction and suspension stuff...
http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=482865 (11/06 3490#)
http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=516557 (4/07 3460ish #)
http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=534697 (7/07 3190# in the summer heat)
and as it got cooler last year I got it down to the 12.0xx's, and after taking even more weight out and working on more suspension tweaking I got it down to 11.860 with more left in it. So you are certainly at a good spot with yours...

Congrats...

Good luck Tony, the weight and drag differences should net you close to another .1 if the weather is the same...

thx john, im having lockup issues with the converter... dn if it is converter related, tranny related, or computer related... but im gonna work out the bugs tomorrow...

also i threw in the ls1 driveshaft tonight... it seems like there is more of a gap where it enters the tailshaft of the tranny... like its not allthe way into the tranny.... is that normal?
