I have a set of the Mac on mine and you can expect a 25-30 hp increase..they really open up your low-mid range power..top end opened up pretty good to.

nice nice. i already have a custom exhaust. but when i put em on imma take it to the exhaust shop and have them weld everything up and put cut outs about a foot or two after the headers. and ill rerun my hypertech when i get em too until i can save up for a dyno tune.

Yeah they really open your car up man that's for sure. One of the sales reps sent me a dyno slip from a 93 LT1 with the numbers after they put them on..made like 28 more hp if I remember correctly. I will try and find it and link it to you.

I have Mac's and love them! Best clearance to spark plugs that i have seen. I can change mine in like 15-20 minutes. No scraping collectors on everything.

What is the ground clearance like on a mid length headers? Where is the collector in comparison to the shorties. Porksoda didn't mention if it was the mid length that had the good plug clearance.
I have a set of edelbrock headers on it and I think they are shorties, but I'm not to sure. I bet I instaled them about 8 years ago and I don't think that edelbrock has ever offered mid or long tube headers for the lt1.
I'm thinking I'm gonna change the headers when I do the heads next year, is the beneifit that great with going from shorties to mids?

so for mac mids, could i do lets say.... mids, ory, magnaflow cat and would this probably bolt up to my flowmaster catback no problem? i wouldnt need any extra piping or any of that **** due to them being shorter than longtubes would i?

i guess what im asking is would the ory be more than long enough and i just cut it to the length i need to make it fit or...?

The mac mids come with a y-pipe and what I did was run the y-pipe into my magnaflow 3'' cat. Does your cat have a 3'' collector?

Hey what up man...got your PM. I got mine direct from Mac. The link you sent me look like coated when I actually have the stainless ones...which are better quality.
