Default Corvette valve covers

Any thing in particular with using C4 LT1 Valve covers on a LT1 F-body? Seen it done a few times, but checking to see if there was any alternator clerance issues. All the 93 Trans Am magazine test cars had them, cant see any issues, but just double checking. Imagine the F-cars got stamped steel valve covers in a cost saving effort over the composite covers.

People say you have to do one of two things, grind down the valve cover (hah fat chance I'd do that one) or grind down your alternator.

Now, what I plan to do if I ever manage to talk my friend out of his: Change the clock position on the alternator so it doesn't interfere with the covers! Then, still, if needed grind the alt.

Default lt4 covers

FWIW they fit my LT1...b-body though, with no clearance issues with 1:6 RR or alternator

I have composite LT1 covers on mine, but there is something to keep in mind. The LT1 composite covers have "drip tabs". These tabs hang down from the roof of the cover and MUST be cut off if being used with most roller rockers. The LT4 composite covers do not have the drip tabs and need no mods. Either will fit LT1 f-bodies just fine.

I have seen the drip tabs when I searched on Corvetteforums, seems like an easy fix with a dremel.

Takes 5 minutes with a Dremel cut off wheel.

Thats what I figured, its plastic after all, also you gotta clearance the stock Valve covers for bigger rockers, seems like the composites would be easier.
