Default Relocating Coil?

Ive seen a few people with this, cant find any info on myself though.

If you have done it..

Did you stay with a stock style coil? Or go with a larger one? Where did ya put it?

well there is the icm relocation mod...moves your coil too but it doesnt really "relocate" it. You just put a nut between the coil and icm to separate it from the head to keep them cooler

Im talking about totaly moving it, not just isolating it off the head.

I relocated mine and the ICM to the backside of the core support right behind the drivers side headlight. I have an LS1 intake setup on my Firebird so the CAI was not in the way at all.

Right angle drill and some self drilling screws is all it took. Oh, and some longer wires.

I have an MSD blaster coil and also have my flip up headlight module mouunted right next to it. The Digital6 box is mounted flat over the hole that the CAI used to go through.

I'd find it really easy if you can solder. Just cut the wires, extend them as long as you need and solder them up and heatshrink over that.

Yea, not worried about extending the ICM wires. But..the longer the coil wire is the more less resistance it has.

I relocated my coil under the cowl. I also converted to a distributor and got rid of the opti.
