It sits right next to the Opti harness connector on the passenger side of the intake manifold. IIRC one line goes to the throttle body and one goes to the canister, which I think is in the back near the fuel tank somewhere. If the spot on the throttle body where that line would connect has been left open you have a large vacuum leak, that will surely cause a misfire.

Its the EVAP purge solenoid,, theres suppose to be a red connector to it with two hoses, one to your throttle body and one to your gas vent line i believe...

Someone probably deleted the emissions stuff and just plugged off the solenoid and left it plugged in as to not throw a code.

When it's something that isn't connected to engine vacuum it doesn't matter.

Yeah but what's plugging the opening in the throttle body that the evap solenoid should be connected to? That gots vacuum.

Who knows heh I'm using a bolt, all I can tell ya. Mines big enough to make a tight fit and I screwed it in to the plat for so it has a decent mating surface. I just didn't know where my vacuum caps where, or even if I had one big enough.
