Default Finally doing it! New paint! ***UPDATE***

*************************UPDATE******************* **********************

************************************************** **********************************************

Well I am finally getting what i have wanted on this car for a very long time, a HOOD and PAINT! Still need to smooth out the wrinkled quarters, but the rest of the car is pretty much ready. This was a B4C NYS Police car, after sanding down the fender you can see "STATE TROOPER" ghosted in the paint from the decals. Sorry about the quality, was taken with my cell phone...

And that my friends is the Siren that the cops left behind!

And the reason why this all started:

I'm ploishing up the TTII's again but they will look really nice once back on the car when its done.

Yeah I will be hooking up all the lights and siren, since it used to be a cop car and will probably be a hit at shows. I am leaving it the original color, cleaned up and 14yrs newer this paint should really stand out. I thought of changing it to a different blue but then it gets way more invloved and more money to do it right. One nice thing about black cars, can change them to any color and don't have to worry about the door jabs, etc.

Me and my friend did all we could to try and make his ex trooper Crown Vic back into a Trooperesque car.

There was one guy that made a replica Mustang Cruiser from Transformers, paint, decals, lights n all. Still legal, as long as he doesn't use the lights on the road or impersonate a police officer So you could paint up your car and everything like a real 'camaro Cruiser

Haha, that's awesome that they left the siren hiding in there. I bet they thought no one would ever taken the bumper off.

Should cut a hole in the bumper and then form it into a funnel to the siren. People won't know WHAT to think! Then wire it up to your horn

Yeah I am putting all the lights and stuff back in eventually this summer. As far as the decals go I am not. Maybe get some mock ones that static cling on for shows or something. lights are a definite once I finish the outside I can move to wire everything up on the inside.

A VERY late reply to this... lol

I dig the static-cling idea. While it'll be a pain to get them all lined up and centered each time, its really the only option aside from actually putting (paint/vinyl stickers) them on. I mean, unless someone has invented magnets for plastic

Looks 100x better. Nothing like fresh paint. I actually love body painted headlight buckets on Camaros. I think it looks bad *** with them body color. Are you going to have blue mirrors and door handles too?

haha yeah I am the only one that i have seen do it this way so far. $.20 verus the $60+ for the ones that look like **** and blow away going faster than 30...

As for the mirrors they are painted black, door handles will probably be black, and the headlight buckets and grill will also be black like factory, I think that looks way better and gives more definition to the headlights, although with the blue it doesn't look horrible but without the black its just a sea of blue and that looks over done in my opinion...
