Any gains from removing muffler?
My '93 Z28 is completely stock right now, and it's staying that way for a while anyway, but I am wondering something. I know it won't sound good, but would just removing the muffler actually gain me anything as far as any power/times? I don't really know how to test it besides going to the track, which I won't be doing probably for a while. I know it would take some weight off (it would probably be like 40lbs, right?), but would you gain any power from it? Or possibly lose some somehow? I really don't know, but I'm curious about it for some reason.

If you still have your "cats" catylcatylic converters and you remove your muffler u will see some gains however I would remove the cats first.that's what I did it sounds great and gave me .3 on the quarter went from a 13.8 to 13.5 now with slp lid and cold weather I ran a 13.3 at 106
