Parking Brake Light (dash gauge cluster) won't stay ON I recently failed safety inspection because my parking brake indicator light in the dash won't stay on if the parking brake is on. I had thought that it was probably because the bulb was burned out, but that doesn't appear to be the issue because the light will come on when the car is doing its start up phase but will not stay on even if the parking brake is on.
Everything I seem to find on this topic is from the parking light staying on indicating a problem with the braking system, however that's the inverse of my problem..
Any thoughts?
