Good luck.
The fastest 60' I have cut on a Performance 10-Bolt with Stock Axles is a 1.565 with my setup.
I'm switching from 3.73's to 3.50's, so I can see it changing a little bit, but I can see the Car picking up more in the high-end

I was looking into it..I'm enjoying the all-motor right now.

I would love to see you call Moser up and tell them that their 31 Spline Axles are junk..

I'm goin to start calling you one-up in reference to that first part..update your screen name there bud..

Yup, again we see those Moser Alloy Axles aren't much stronger than stock..

My Car does what it does. I'm running Heads that are pretty new still and there isn't a whole lot for them yet, and I'm still running stock stuff. They haven't even been out long enough for a good Cam Baseline.

I'm sure you know one though..you seem to know everything..

Quit being a tool..

what size tire are you going to run with that 3.50 gear ratio? do you know where you will be (RPM-wise) crossing the traps? Will you be taking it to the 1/4 much?

I'm still goin to run a 26" Tire, MT ET STREET DR's, 275/50R15. I don't know what it will do yet, but I want to get the Torque down to the ground for a little more than it was..those Gears will do it.

I plan on goin to the 1/4 with it, but I will still drive it alot on the street here as well. I'll have a little better gas mileage and some more pull in the high end..

Dont you have an automatic trans MERV? If so the 9 inch is overkill, 12 bolt would have been more appropriate.

The guy that trashed his 31 splines had a stick car, BIG difference.

I have 31 splines in my 9 inch, 3700lbs,470rwhp, 1.50 60 ft. 11.02 et, no signs of ANY twisting.

Auto cars do not have the shock load a stick car does.

I have an auto..might eventually go to a M6..I don't know yet..have to see bored I get.

I was actually looking at them both, and come to the conclusion that the 9" would be alot easier to work with. That and I have heard that how the 12-bolt bolts up to the Torque Arm in a really wierd way, and the nuts come loose.

Also I can say real men have 9"..

that is mad gay merv. lol

the 12 bolt does bolt up to the t/a kinda funky. instead of a bolt and nut deal like the 10bolt, it has four bolts that thread into the housing. ive taken torque arms on and off of 10 bolts, but i could not get it on the 12 bolt on the floor with jacks to save my life, had to take it to my boy at gm.

Sounds like a nice set up Merv...You'll never hurt the 31 splined Moser stuff with an auto...FWIW I went with the Strange 12 bolt with 33 splined axles on a buy in with Spohn years ago because of the bolt thru stock design of the Strange TA mount..I dont know why Moser does it the other way...

With gear ratios you may find later that 3.73s or 4.10s with the 275 60 R15 M/T radials may be the hot ticket...You'll probably have an easier time hooking that thing on a 28" radial over the 26s...Something I learned from lots of track test and tuning...Once you get thru the first 60' with more sidewall the higher numerically gear will help pull you up into higher rpm range at the big end where you'll be pulling like a freight train...This is where the folks with 9"s have fun with quick gear changes provided you can afford the $$$ to have a spare center section or just borrow one to play with...
