well might be your sensors on your rad I'm not 100% sure but I had like 2 of them go that are on the radiator. I think there are 3 alone on it.

That sensor goes bad. It will be on the passenger side of the radiator. Unplug it and run it for a while and see if that makes your issue go away. If so, then replace it or just leave it unplugged and monitor your temp gauge instead of having the computer flash a light at you...

That light just seems to randomly come on, even with a new sensor. Hell if I knew unplugging it would keep the light off, I wouldn't have bothered replacing the original sensor.

My coolant light was on all the time til I changed the sensor. If it comes on every now and then hmm... sounds like your coolant level is actually low. You better check the level again. Or replace the coolant sensor for fairly cheap.

It's a 5-10 minute operation.

I have heard that sensor is not the most accurate sensor on these motors and has pissed more than a few people off, I have been lucky that I have not had that problem. I would just unplug it and keep an eye on the level of coolant the old way, and rember to check the overflow when it is hot and the radiator when it is cold. Also rember to keep an eye on the coolant gauge. Good luck

It's not that is not accurate, it just fails over time as it gets clogged with crap and a poor design. I had the same issue and left mine unplugged for a while until I decided I wanted the sensor back. Bought a new one installed it in less than 10mins and works like a charm now. Wish I had taken a picture of my old one as it was so clogged and corroded, I wasn't suprised it finally failed.

On the back of the radiator (pass side) just behind the fill cap about a 1/3 of the way down. Kinda hard to get to and easier to work on if you remove the rad support.

My light has been on for about 5 years... lol

Coolant level is OK, but I just can't bring myself to spend $75 on a coolant level sensor.
