slp fan over ride switch im thinking about gettin tht SLP fan override switch, just trying to see if anyone else has it, if so how well does it work??
also im trying to find a aluminum radiator w out breaking the bank, anyone know a place where i can get a decent one??

i have the slp fan switch.... real easy to install, but the actual switch itself breaks all the time. im on my 2nd switch and it has been a year and a half and this one is broken...
they are nice to have though! and its not like u can go to the store and buy any toggle switch for it, it has wires that go into the toggle switch for the wireharness.

I actually just had my mechanic install a manual switch for me. Cost $100, mounted discreetly under the dash, and the thing is a life-saver. It's not an SLP unit though, just an aluminum toggle-switch that he had on hand. Works beautifully!!!

I installed one on my car a couple years ago. I like it. I use it all the time. The PCM still controls the fans if you don't manually turn them on but it's nice to have in traffic or in the staging lanes. It's a good idea to have a light hooked up to it because it's easy to forget to turn off the low speed fan.

I did the homemade one too. Five dollar switch from Radio Shack. Used the Shoebox writeup. Works great, don't have to wait for 227 degrees for my fans to kick on, I can run them anytime and keep the temp where it needs to be for power, and get some of that heat out of the engine bay.
