IMO the primary concern first and foremost is, do you need to pass emissions, and, how much do you REALLY like to spend time under the hood fixing your car? If emissions aren't a concern, and you don't mind adjusting valves on a regular basis, go as big as possible without overwhelming the head configuration you plan to utilize.

Gotta know a ton of info that you haven't stated yet to be able to give any kind of a worthy cam recommendation. Emissions? How high you willing to rev? Stall size/Gears? Daily Driver or Weekend Warrior? Smooth Idle or Choppy? Looking for top end power or low end torque? etc. etc. etc. Maybe read the sticky at the top of the forum that would get you on track.

Our RPM limitations and the cam companies often way off RPM range recommendations are two BIG concerns.

Guys tell you to go "big as possible" but here in the real world 6500rpm is about all you want to put a stock shortblock through, and a cam mid 220s on the intake is usually going to need to see those rpms, will peak before that but you need to rev a few hundred rpms beyond peak.
