Default AC problems

I had problems with the AC last year and had a guy tell me sometimes it will throw a code and just reset the computer. Well it worked started to run again. This year I had problems again and it didn't work so tried to charge it and the compressor kicked on and the fans came on after I put some freon in it but wont blow cold and it dont seem like it wants to take any more freon.

So I was wondering what could cause it not to blow cold? I asked a local mechanic that if its a variable speed compressor that it could be the compressor.

Well I put one can in it and started to put another can and the pressure would not go down and remained high and the can was hot instead of getting cold.

if you have a leak (low refrigerant) you really need to get that fixed first. air in the system will cause your vent temps to stay high

Thank you it was low and charged it to 36 psi. It works good now I did not know it needed to be that high my dad told me to not go over 30 max.
