Default Valve springs

Would the crane 99893-16 valve springs work with the LPE 74211 camshaft? Since Lingenfelter does not manufacture/spec their own springs anymore, they list the comp cams 977-16 springs as an alternative for the 74211. I was hoping I did not have to purchase new springs since mine have never been used. My springs are currently set up at approximately 145 pounds of seat pressure. Luckily, the heads have not been installed yet.

I would go with these for "plug & play" fit.

You would need to pull the damper spring out of the 977's or have your valve stem guides machined down (common on aftermarket head work).

that 211 cam is great..

that 211 cam is great..
I have those springs but without the kit. After doing some research on the LPE cam, I really think that I am going to like it. I just hope the springs are up to the task.

I believe the keepers are 7 degree so you can use your stock ones if they are. The Retainers might be different so get the right ones.

I've got the springs with 10 degree locks and retainers with comp spring seats already installed on the heads.

The springs you have will handle that cam with no problem even at 145 lbs on seat. The springs can be shimmed more with no problem and get you 155 lbs on seat (1.750) and still have tons of room before coil bind.
